"The Sakoku Period" Board Game
This board-game is a great way to learn about Japan's first contact with Japan, the Sakoku period and how Japan used and took care of their land in the Tokugawa period. If you would like to use it, simply print off both pieces (cards and board) and cut out the cards.
HOW TO PLAY: Start with the youngest person in the group, and then take turns rotating clockwise. The first person will roll the dice, and move their player accordingly. If a player lands on an exclamation mark, they have to read out the writing on the back and move forwards or backwards as directed on the bottom of the card.
